Tony Bellanca is a Business and Corporate attorney with an especially powerful expertise in Real Estate transactions of all kinds. He is also a highly regarded Family Law attorney and is counted among the top Family Law practitioners in the metropolitan area.
Tony’s credentials in this area are also well recognized by others. He serves as an appointed One Lawyer Mediator in Family Law for the Macomb County Circuit Court.
Tony is Past President of the Macomb County Bar Association – one of the largest volunteer bar associations in Michigan. Established in 1806, it is older than the State Bar of Michigan. On his own, or in collaboration with his colleagues at Bellanca, Beattie and DeLisle, Tony attends to virtually all of their business legal needs as well as the personal matters of their owners and executives.
He has been helping clients acquire and develop real estate nearly his entire career. He is intimately familiar with the entire process of complex real estate development and is a powerful ally on behalf of developers. He negotiates complex real estate leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants. He forms limited liability companies, homeowners and condominium associations. Complex real estate acquisitions and sales documents are part of his daily activity.
Tony’s expertise in this area is widely recognized both within and outside the legal profession. For example, he served for over 15 years – 12 of those as Chairperson – on the Planning Commission for the City of St. Clair Shores. He served five years on the Macomb County Solid Waste Planning Commission and served for seven years on the Macomb County Friend of the Court Advisory Committee. He is presently a member of the Macomb County Ethics Board.
In a biography of Tony, published in our firm’s Newsletter, we wrote: “Tony is devoted to his clients, big and small, and to their causes. He loves being a lawyer and is proud of his profession. He strives for success. No one hates losing more than Tony, but he understands that no one wins when the ethics of the profession are stretched or ignored. He is, first and foremost, a devoted professional.”
